"The applicant in this case is prevented by law from exercising her
choice to avoid what she considers will be an undignified and
distressing end of her life. The court ist not prepared to exclude that
this constitutes an interference with her right to respect for private
life as guaranteed under Article 8 § 1 of the Convention."
Ob das Recht auf Achtung des Privatlebens gemäss Art. 8
Abs. 1 EMRK auch das Recht, seinem eigenen Leben ein selbstbestimmtes Ende zu bereiten, umfasst, ist damit vom EGMR noch
nicht endgültig entschieden worden. Dies räumt im Übrigen auch
Minelli ein (a.a.O., S. 492).
